Simon哥哥 has been telling us about this Korean restaurant at Telok Ayer Street.

我们终于抽空在昨天去了一趟.
But the walking journey was a tiring one. Coz the area was cordoned off due to the on-going construction for the new MRT line. Thus we got to make a big round to get to the place.

By the time we reach there, I'm sweating all over.

We ordered a Kimchi Steamboat with noodles, grilled fish and stir-fried rice cakes.

The steamboat was served with 6 types of 小菜 which can can be refilled. So we only pick those we like and asked the staff to refill. :-D I love their luncheon meat and fish cakes. As for kimchi, it was so so for me as I don't really fancy it. The steamboat was yummy! There are rice vermicelli on top of the noodles which we only realised it at the end.

They also served up with a jug of iced green tea which I found it abit bland. We also ordered their desserts. Haha! We had so much laughter when we can't decide which flavour to pick for the Mochi. So in the end, we just say that whichever flavour we got, that flavour's name will be our nick. Haha! I shall not reveal the nicks here. :-p

Thanks for the company, Bee Leng & Simon. Hope u had enjoyed my company too! :-)

Now thinking when will be our next gathering? Shall try to get Grace & Vivian out also. :-) I wanna see their babies!!!

Movies that are shown recently all involved romance.

Started off with Wolverine and now it is Star Trek.
Although the storyline is more or less the same, but I still like it. :-D

I love all these movie! Very enjoyable. I think the next up-coming blockbuster will be Transformer! Hehe! Another show that Darling love and I'm waiting for my Bumble Bee to be out.

We caught Star Trek at AMK Hub. But before that, we went to Darling's favorite place - NeBo. Of course this time round, there will be no more Gladiator Burger as we got a shock from the previous. And we also don't want to miss the 1st 10min of the movie.

Here's the food that we had ordered! I love their sodas. Very delicious and attractive looking. Hehe!

Yeah! It was another badminton session today after so long.
But I'm feeling very odd this afternoon. My bloodstream seem to be evaporating the alcohol from last night. I wonder how come it took so long... Is it because I never drink Long Island Iced Tea for long? Anyway, I love it!

So I went to play badminton with a slice of bread in my stomach. Energy level was very low at start but luckily half way through, I got 100Plus to save me. Hehe! Sugar level short back to normal and I'm able to play for awhile more before handing the court to YingYing & Terence.

After the session, we went for a quick shower at the Sports Hall then vegetarian dinner at Bukit Gombak. It made me feel so healthy suddenly. :-p (exercise & vegetarian!)

By the time we finished with our dinner, it was almost 9pm. Violet was mentioning that there is sale @ Tangs so we decided to pop over. The discount was attractive! 15% of the bill for Visa cardholders. But sad to say, Violet did not know their operating hours have changed. Thus when we reach there at 9.40pm, they are already closed.

So plan change for us again! We crack our brain to see what we can do. Walked over to Isetan Scotts to search for seats at McCafe but there's none. Then down to TCC and waiting time for seats is approx. 30mins.

It's so crowded in Orchard on Saturday Nite!!!

Thus we decided to go back to Bukit Timah and we went to Liquid Cafe which we never popped in before.

The place was nice for chilling! Not sure about the food and cakes they served.

I like the layering of the drink. At first I still can't bear to stir it but I got no choice. No stirring = No drinking. :-)

Just the 3 of us having a meal together, yet after so many tries, we still failed to meetup...

The first 2 meetups was canceled as Jac had last minute things on. So we had to postpone it to a later date. Luckily I still have Peili to go shopping with me. If not, I would feel very bored.

The 3rd time it was called off due to the wet weather... In the end, I met Jac at West Mall. Peili doesn't want to walk to IMM during raining day.

So many postpone & cancellations... I'm totally confused with the dates. I don't know when will we be meeting for a good meal again. It's really hard to get-together.

P/S: I really hope we can have a meal soon... I miss the times we eat & chat...

Weather has been very warm nowadays... And sleep late doesn't help... coz in the end I will end up with severe headaches...

It's was Mother's Day yesterday. I was home the whole day. I woke up around 1pm feeling very stone. Brother went to for self-study with his friends. Dad has went back to Malaysia to visit Grandpa as he has not fully recovered.

So there were no plans for Mother's Day till Bro texted me at 4pm asking whether I got plans. I told him that it will be crowded everywhere and I'm running out of ideas of where to go. Thus he suggested Bali Thai at West Mall. I tried my luck to call and make a reservation. Bingo! And I got it. Haha!

Dinner was at 7.30pm.
We ordered quite an amount of food which make all of us so full. I almost puked. To think my Bro can still request for 1 serving of Mango Sticky Rice. Mum & I salute him! Haha!

But actually the food there was very nice. Hehe! I love their green curry chicken. It's a must-try item in every of my visit.

Glad that Mum & Bro love the food there. :-) I did not order the wrong items. Hehe!

Lastly, I wanna wish Mum a very Happy Mother's Day! :-D

For almost 5 years... I have not seen my ex-colleagues.

This is the nicest batch of colleagues that I ever had. I was taught with quite a number of skills during my contract-based employment.

Too bad, I didn't manage to get in as a full-time staff at that time. Coz there's a lady who had requested for a internal transfer from Malaysia.

It's alright. I'm also doing quite well now. And the changes that my ex-company had gone through might not be changes which I preferred. :-)

Thanks for Ms Law in organising this gathering. It's fun and we had lots of laughter. Lots of updates too. Haha! And Mandy is expecting her little princess to be due in early July. So now we are wondering when will be Juliana's & Anne's turn. Hehe!

Those time working with them will always be a sweet memories for me... I miss the times we spent together. I'm looking forward to the next gathering!!!

Some of them had left earlier. I'm sorry that I did not flash out my camera earlier... Oops! Coz I thought all are camera-shy...

I felt I had been eating alot for the past 2 days... It's very scary.

I'm really a glutton!!!

28th Apr - Ichiban
Simon called me up on Monday and ask if I'm keen in joining him and his wife(Lixin) for dinner @ Jurong Point Ichiban Boshi. As a Japanese food lover, I agreed immediately.

After reaching, then I realise actually they wanted to fill up their rewards cards with another $40 which can win them up to $80 food voucher I think. At first Lixin is still in doubt that we are able to make it to $40. But halfway through, she was finally convinced. And Simon told me that he knew I can help him on that. Coz I'm a sushi lover. Haha!

I was bloated by the food we ordered and some other items that they have redeem. Our whole table was practically full. The 3 of us are really 大胃王. Haha!

29th Apr - Pu Tien (Vivocity)
I'm supposed to go out with Jacinta & Peili for dinner but it was cancelled as Jacinta got something on. So Peili & I decided to go ahead with shopping as the date was already blocked out. We went to Vivo City in search of flats/slippers. It's a coincidence that both of us happen to look for something in the same category.

We went for dinner at Pu Tien in Vivo's Food Republic. This is the 2nd time I was there. Both was with Peili. This time round we order something different. 1 is their famous - Xin Hua 卤面 and the other is Xin Hua 米粉. We also got a Pu Tien Bao as it seems very nice. Indeed it tastes yummy. Hehe! Both the main course are also nice but the serving was too big. We had problem finishing it. So in the end, we had to leave some behind.

Luckily our shopping was after dinner. Or else, it's very fattening. I can't afford to grow fat anymore... or soon, my whole wardrobe has to be change again. Haha!

We have been trying hard to plan for a BBQ but all our schedule was too packed for anything. Well, I think the next time we have to be harsher on setting dates. Like we plan on the day where majority of the group can make it. Haha! Oops! Am I too harsh?

Since we can't have our BBQ soon, we got something else as substitute. We went for the Chong Pang BBQ & Steamboat at Turf City.

Haha! It's my first time there and I didn't know that Chong Pang have shifted from Marina South to Turf City. All the while I had the impression that there is only 1 steamboat there which is the 镇发.

Although we never meet for abt 3mths, but most of us still look the same. And the same old eating culture still applies for all. Haha! The prawn lovers still love the prawns alot. The 大胃王 are still the 大胃王. Haha! As for me, I got tired of the BBQ food after awhile.

From this BBQ session, we conclude that Wee Xiong is not a good cook. Coz he added lots of butter onto the hotplate and it splattered onto everyone. Haiz... So next time we should not sit near him. Or else... ... be prepared for worst. Haha!

After the dinner, it was around 10pm. We then proceed to Woodlands Civic Centre for our standard chit-chatting session till around 1am. Then my poor Bro - Terence start to drive each of us back. My bro & I accompany him all the way. Haha! But I sleep most of the time as I'm very tired from the previous day outing. :-p

This year, we manage to catch Bee Leng for dinner at a date which is much closer to her birthday. We are only hours away from her actual day. Hehe!

This birthday girl is very cute too. I bought her a mini Polar cake and in return she got our a 6-pc mini fruit tarts from Prima Deli.

We had dinner at Jurong Point's Ichiban Sushi. Simon recommended the fried Salmon strips and a mixed don set.

All very yummy! I love the Salmon Don. It's good recommendations. He also told me that his wife love it lots. I love the sesame oil fragrance. It's very nice. Totally enhance the rice and Salmon together with the little pieces of chilli on it. :-)

After dinner, we just went for a short walk before heading back home. Bee Leng can't go back too late so we just went off too.

I think our next outing will be next month. :-)

Yeah! I'm on leave today. I'm so tired of the nonsense that people has given me. Now it's time for me to go for a break.

Today has been a fruitful one. Bro was home as it was his 1 week holiday break. So we decided to go to Suntec City and take a walk round the Food & Beverage Fair. As today was the first day and it's a week day, I doubt it will be too crowded.

We took Bus 106 down and alighted at the convention centre. The place seems so quiet. As we were proceeding up to Level 4, no crowds were seen. I wonder did I make a mistake on the dates.

Luckily I did not. Haha! Inside the hall, there wasn't much crowd either. Well, as expected. We went one big round to see what's available before deciding what we want for lunch. The varieties this year were lesser as compared to last year. There seems to be more repetitive items around and it was more spacious. This time round there were more seating place. I wonder this is because of the economy or the organiser got feedback that there wasn't enough seats during the previous.

After filling our stomachs, we proceed to IKEA in search of the study table. I ask Bro to throw away the old one as it was really giving way. At IKEA, we manage to spot the table that he like. We grab it at once and got a replacement seat for my pink chair. As now I got another chair and the pink seat was spoilt, we got a replacement in white and Bro can have it to match his new table. :-) 1 stone kill 2 birds. Anyway, that chair I think he has a part in breaking the seat. :-p

It's my first time buying so many items from IKEA and carry it home by myself. I had trouble no one this time. I bought the items and carried them home via cab. The feeling was good. Bro and I had a good time in shopping for the items. We both felt so fufilled.

The next upcoming task for us is to fix the table up. :-) That will be done in the next few days.

This burger is suitable for 1 hungry Giant or 2 hungry humans...

Haha! Darling & I went for dinner @ Nebo AMK Hub.

We saw the above Gladiator Burger on their menu. It seems yummy! So we ordered. We didn't believe what we saw in the end. There are 4 chicken patties, 8 slices of ham. Luckily we opt out of the meat sauce as we couldn't take beef. The burger was so enormous.

In the end the both of us couldn't finish it. But I love the bun. They spread garlic butter on it and toasted it till crisp. By the way, the set come with cheese wedges and cost $22.50. If one can finish the meal in 5mins, there will be S$100 Nebo dining voucher. If in 8mins, there will be only S$30 Nebo dining voucher instead.

I doubt anyone can do it. Coz the 2 of us took quite some time but can't finish the burger too. Haha! If anyone can finish the set and took Nebo's challenge, I will call him/her 'Master'.

After the dinner, we watch 'DragonBall Evolution'. It was quite hilarious. It's Stephen Chow's movie so this is the way it is suppose to be. Well, we can't expected this movie to be exactly the same as the anime or it's link to it. We can just take this movie lightly as an entertainment. I guess if we don't think of the classic Dragonball, maybe the reviews will be a better one?

Personally, I like this movie. It's worth the $6 ticket price. But don't think it will be worth for the weekend $8.

And finally at least we caught the movie that Darling had longed for. (since he saw it at Genting. Haha!)

I woke feeling floaty. I wonder that should I go for the dinner cum drinking session with my ex-colleague in town. But on the other hand, I had an appt. with Mary which I do not wish to miss.

Well, my final decision was that I forgo the dinner cum drinking session(although drinks are being paid for). Coz I'm not feeling very well and I wanna spend money on the cab fare. I don't wish to travel to and fro. The transportation cost is way too high in total.

So I proceed to meet Mary @ Jurong Point. We went to have Bakerzin. I miss the food there. I think it has been more than a year since I last dine at Bakerzin outlet?

Anyway, this round we seem to have ordered the wrong items. Mary's Nonya curry pasta was too watery. Mine was still ok. But don't really suit our taste buds. I think their talent is still at desserts. Chinese cuisine is way out for them.

I love the Bailey's souffle that Mary ordered. It's yummy!

We almost had a free dinner. Haha! I gave the girl $50 and she returned me $44. My total bill was actually $44. If I were to walk off with the change, they will have to fork out the difference which is so unfair right? Thus being a nice person, I went back and return them the excess and ask them about the discount they promise us which we had already enquired earlier. The discount was only $0.98.

Doing a good deed actually make one happier. The manager told us her story and I understand her totally as I was in the retail line before. She kept telling us thank you for returning the excess.

After dinner, we went for a quick shopping trip and both of us got shoes from Noda. It was till now then I realise that their shoes are really comfy. Just too bad that I wasn't really in to mood to purchase more today. Only got 1 pair as to share the promotion with Mary. Mary got 2 pairs in all.

To Mary: Hope to have our gathering soon. Look forward to see the rest.

I feel I'm like a eating glutton tonight.
From Astons to Rocher Beancurd, 8.30 - 10.30pm... Omg! If this continue on every week or day, I'm sure to gain lots of pound.

Went to Plaza Singapura to meet Darling & his UOL classmates. They had a dinner appointment. Astons was the pre-decided venue but a few of them complain of the queue and long waiting time. But then by the time some one suggested to change, it's almost our turn with 4 groups in front of us and the queue got longer.

I reach PS around 7pm and Darling is on his way from home. I don't want to meet the rest first so I went shopping. M)phosis is having sales so I popped in and took a look. Just one look, I spend $28.45. Haha! But I feel it's worth la. 50% off the price for a pair of pants. Why not? Somemore the length is just nice except the waist area still got abit of space. Hehe! It's already S size so I guess they don't come in XS.

Well, to me as long as it won't fall off then ok liao.

By the way, tonight I tried some new at Astons. I had the Grilled Fish with Herbs. Nice but slightly longer waiting time. It makes me feel lighter eating it too. Guess meat is of the heavier density. Maybe I shall try cutting down on that and see if I will get any lighter soon. Keke!

My desserts at Rocher Beancurd was Soya Milk, half You Tian & egg tart. The portugese egg tart there is very smooth and silky. Yummy! Thanks for Darling buying it for me. Hehe!

Long time I never post photos of us... so here's one. I like this dress alot. Never try and just bought it off the shelf. So daring right? Haha! Never thought of what if I can't wear. :-P

It's a yearly affair that I will arrange for gathering at my house for my group of army boys. :-p

This year happen to be slightly different abit. Haha! I was surprise that I manage to get some of the absentees who are away from the previous years to join in. So the group was bigger this year. :-) (Actually at first I thought the response might be poor. :-p)

My mum had to cook steamboat for dinner. Luckily most of the items we got is to put into the steamboat. If not, she has to work alot in the kitchen.

This year, I had try to make some of them come earlier for the mahjong as previously they all came very late and we can't play much. So I put the timing from 2pm onwards. In the end, they came at 3pm onwards. Haiz...

This is the first group of players. :-) They had lots of fun playing mahjong.
And now I'm dreaming about having this type of gathering every now and then at my own house. :-p

Dinner commence at 6pm as Sharon Phang has another group waiting for her. She is very busy as she flying back the very next day. 3 weeks flied fast for her. Her frenz cannot only catch her once a year if not, we gotta fly over to Perth and visit her.

Joyce is my sweetie. Not easy to get her also. My mum just mention the other day that it has been years that she last seen her. Hehe!

I got Sharon Yoh to come over as actually that day we suppose to go out with Sharon Phang for a drink but it was cancelled in the end. So this gathering is a make-up for the drinking session. :-p

I'm sorry that some of my other friends were missed out from the invitation list. I did not forget anyone of you. All my friends are in my heart. It just that my current house is too small and not so nice to make my parents work to hard in the preparations of everything. I promise that if I own a house, I will start to invite all of you.

After dinner, we started with 'healthy gambling' session. As the host, I become the banker for the Blackjack and at the mahjong table, my brother join them for fun.

At the start of the Blackjack, Chee Ming got triple 7s. It was quite unbelievable isn't it? Luckily they only requested the payback to be 3times. Or else, I guess a hole have been burnt and I'm unable to continue as the banker.

We played till 2am in the morning for the mahjong. Blackjack was ended around 11pm and they started with a friendly game of Big 2.5 as most of the pockets were 'injuried'. :-p Sorry folks! I hope it wasn't too serious.

My total winnings for the day - $78 ($75 from Blackjack & $3 from Mahjong)
My brother's losing for the day - $21 (Mahjong). Haha! He pay a huge sum(consider his age and ability) for the school fee.

Yummy Pizza!!!

Hehe! I love the barbecue meat and the crispy crackers.

I made the right choice by inviting my bro for dinner. He help me to finish one more slice of pizza when I can't swallow it down anymore. The golden ingots are nice. Each with 1 shrimp. And the cheesy ingots surrounding the pizza. It's filling. Haha!

Hope my brother had enjoyed it! I will bring him again when there's other promotion. :-)

A few days ago, Sweetie told me that she found a new shop in Jurong Point Extension(JP2).

Now this shop is listed one of the top few in her list. Hehe! Coz they sell quite a number of dresses, tops & accessories which is similiar to those shown on Taiwanese Fashion magazines.

I went with Sweetie today. It was crowded with window-shoppers only and to think we had to wait for 1.5hrs to try on the clothes & get the items we wanted. It was because there is one lady who took about 45mins to decided whether she wanted the set of clothes. The shopkeeper there is good at selling and dolling their customer up. They gave very good advice but the waiting time was hilarious.

I must admit that it is good to have a make-over services & counter in the shop. As it is a one stop service that provide lots of convenience to people who do not like to travel few places to search for things that is only for 1 formal function. But during peak-season like Christmas & CNY, it will affect business badly as there is high chance that you will miss out potential customers.

Anyway, the first impression left with me wasn't very good. I will not go again till after CNY I guess coz I'm afraid of the waiting time.

Sweetie & I went for dinner only at 9pm. Luckily The Soup Restaurant is still open for it's last order. We are so hungry till we can't take in much food. And so paiseh to make the staff serve us and delay their closing on a Wednesday night.

Whenever there's a special ocassion like birthdays, festivals upcoming, we will arrange to meet up and have dinner together.

This time round, it is to celebrate a brand new 2009. :-)
We met at Jurong Point. As I wanna eat Din Tai Fung. Hehe! I love it's Xiao Long Bao and I'm missing it alot. So the rest got to give in to me. Hehe!

The food there was nice. At least I can say that they kept their standard unlike some restaurants. Standards varies throughout their outlets. Totally no 'SOP'.

Anyway I simply love Din Tai Fung. It's really nice. Hope to go there soon. Hehe!
Thanks to Simon & Bee Leng for accompanying me. :-) We had a nice time chatting & gossiping.

It's our first dinner for the Year 2009 together.
During 2008, Jiali was unable to make it. But this time round we had all in attendance. :-D

We went to Liang Court's Marutama Ramen as recommended by Joyce. Actually we have planned to go to Central's outlet but Joyce found Liang Court's. SO we go there for a change and found a hello kitty shop there. Too bad I didn't find anything for me to spend on but Joyce got herself some items. Yan actually wanted a screen protector but too bad, the size doesn't fit.

Marutama Ramen is very nice. And what surprise you more is that they only have 3 varieties of soup base and a few varieties of side dishes. Yet they can have queues outside from shop. Isn't it fantastic?

I had the soup base with special nuts(7kinds), Joyce & Yan had the spicy soup base and Jiali had the non-spicy one which we think it tastes like normal chicken soup. :-p

After dinner, we walk our to Boat Quay area for a drink. We stopped at Harry's Bar.

We slacked around there for an hour and took a number of photos. We left around 11pm as Yan has to go for her movie appt.

Along the way to hire a cab, we took lots of photos again. Hehe! Joyce's scarf has also become one of the apparatus. So now, Joyce started to complain that she will not bring any scarf out anymore.

I always enjoy my time together with the girls. They are always so fun-loving. Look forward to our next outing. :-)

I was late for our dinner. Suppose to meet around 6.45pm at Raffles City, in the end I reach there almost 8pm. Phew! I didn't expected that there will be so much work for me to clear yesterday. But anyway, everything is worthwhile. Coz the things I have done is value-added. :-D

I was so 'paiseh' that I was late. I made the girls queued for me. I felt so bad. Coz I seem to be taking advantage of them as after I met them 10mins, we got a seat. Hope they understand my position.

The dinner was a nice one. We took quite a number of photos. Zane was commenting that SJ(Mary's bf) was so cute all the way from the first sight. She insisted to have a picture taken with this cute guy. Haha!

Actually SJ couldn't make it in the first place and this gathering became a girls' gathering. But being a thoughtful bf, he decided to turn up and surprise Mary. So she was being pampered again. :-)

We had so much fun updating each other but too bad, Zane got something on at home and got to leave earlier. So the 4 of us went walking around and headed back home shortly.

The food at Shodoku Food Bazaar was great! I love their pizza & western. It's yummy! :-)

I love this pizza because of it's thin crust. :-)

I ♥ Charmy Kitty

For 2 continuous days, we have been traveling to Novena Square. We went there yesterday for our anniversary dinner and tonight, Darling & I once again popped over to have dinner with his UOL's classmates.

Actually tonight's dinner was planned quite some time ago. Ever since Darling saw the Buffet program on Channel 8 about the Japanese curry, he start to have craving for it. Thus he suggested to the rest to have the gathering there.

The Curry Favour that we went to is located Novena Square Lvl 3. Their buffet was only available at certain timing. For more information, can check at their website=> Curry Favour

The food variety they had was reasonable. I love their edamame, mochi & fried items. Each guest is served with 4 mochi(max). And we ordered so much food till we have to play Ultimate No. to finish the mochi. Haha! It was very fun. Coz they come up with numbers like 50 which most pple will try to avoid. I almost had my stomach burst from laughing. They served free flow of drinks which is not syrup. I feel the price is quite worth it if you can enjoy Japanese stuff.
