This year, there are been too much changes on going.
Early this year I change my job, then Darling went back to work in June. So there isn't much chance where I can plan for a long holiday trip.
Actually there is also not much plan for any holiday trip this year. This Genting trip was a very last minute one too. I almost cannot get a ticket for the 4 of us coz Fanny can only confirm at the very last minute.
But luckily I remember that there's a travel agency at CCK Lot 1 so I went to try my luck. I'm quite lucky too in a way coz there are seats available for the date I have selected.
I looked forward to this trip alot coz it's the first time I took the VIP coaches up. Last year, the coach wasn't as nice but the price is cheaper la. So cannot complain too much. The cost of the package is S$156+$15/pax (3days 2nite stay @ First World Hotel). The $15 surcharge is for the 18-seaters bus.
15th to 17th Nov... Genting Trip! It was a eat, eat n eat trip. We really took lots of meals which is like 6 times a day till we are unable to capture all n blog them here. Of course not only eating all the way. We also went to Theme Park & Casino and play. And when are tired, we went to their cinema and rest ourselves as it's equipped with Osim's massage chairs.
Pickup up for WTS coach is outside CCK's Gain City @ 6.30am. Head straight to the 2nd link. The custom clearance was so smooth. No delays at all.
It was a guided tour somemore. So we got a stopover at Yong Peng for some snacks halfway through before heading up to Genting.
Yong Peng has very nice Ramly Burger but it's quite ex for the local. RM5 for 1 burger.
Throughout the journey, I was accompanied by their in-bus systems. I watch 2 shows. Well, expectations cannot be too high for this as all the shows are old shows and some hang halfway.
We reach Genting at 1pm. But there's a long queue for check-in. So we took a queue number and went for our lunch at KFC. The KFC at Genting definately taste different in Singapore. I guess the weather is the factor???
We only manage to check-in at around 4.30pm. Then we took a rest before going out for dinner @ Tong Luo Wan. It's a Hong Kong Cafe. Food there was not bad. The Black Pepper Chicken Noodle that I had is very tasty. We spend a total of RM116.15 there.
After dinner we walk around and snack again. I love the Gio Gio Franks there. Especially the prata hotdog with egg. I can't fine anything that is similar. Think I had to try doing it myself.
The next morning, we went for dim sum brunch at Good Friends Restaurant located @ Genting Hotel.
Their dim sum was delicious. I will go for it again when I visit Genting again. The total cost for 4pax is only RM141.35 which was considered very reasonable.
After our brunch, Darling & I went to the Outdoor Theme Park coz we miss it the other time. So I make it a point to go there as it's more than 10yrs since I last went in.
After playing for around 2hrs, it started to drizzle. So we decided to go for our late lunch. We meet Fanny & bf and went to the Food Court @ First World.
I don't like the food there. The 'Fa Cai Ban' is not nice! They deep fried the thick toast and open a hole to put the mixed vege in. It's like eating starch. I like the dessert. The mango ice shaving is yummy and the waffle is very crispy. I just realise they have outlets in SG too. But I have yet to try. :-)
We went to the Dinosaurland in the Theme Park. It was a hill when I have climb up. Quite high and I'm so tired when I reach the peak. The wind there was chilling and we enjoy it alot.
We took a number of rides. All the rides either have long queues or they are close for maintenance.
While it was drizzling, we walked past some sheltered areas and decided to take photos with the following.

After playing whole day in the Theme Park, 2 couples meet again to have dinner at Shanghai 10.
I feel it's rather like our Din Tai Fung & Crystal Jade combi. Food wise, it's ok. Not bad. But I still like Din Tai Fung's Xiao Long Bao the best! Total cost for 4pax - RM127.08.
After dinner, we went to try their massage chairs in cinema. We watch Madagascar 2 which I don't mind. Haha! There are only 10 massage chairs. All sponsered by Osim. It's the IMedic. Very comfy. I tuned on the massaging function throughout the show. Coz my muscles have been strained the whole day.
Movie finished, we went for supper. Haha! Last nite there, so have to eat as much as we can. We have done with supper, we went back to our rooms and have a rest before I join Fanny n bf to the casino. Darling doesn't want to go so I ask him to rest in the room.
We walked for 45min in the casino before deciding to bet on the horse racing. At first I thought we would have lost RM20 but who knows. The last bet actually let me won back RM55. Haha! RM35 of profit! The next day I can buy a simple breakfast for all. Hehe!
Slept for 7hrs on the last night. We check out around 12noon and went for lunch @ Only Mee.
Food there was really so-so. Price was ex. Darling & I spend RM29.67 there.
Reach back in SG around 7pm. Alight @ CCK and went for dinner @ Lot One before going back home and rest. It has been a very enjoyable trip this round. Looking for another one next year with Fanny & bf. We are the 'eating' couples! We love food!!!
