Simon哥哥 has been telling us about this Korean restaurant at Telok Ayer Street.

我们终于抽空在昨天去了一趟.
But the walking journey was a tiring one. Coz the area was cordoned off due to the on-going construction for the new MRT line. Thus we got to make a big round to get to the place.

By the time we reach there, I'm sweating all over.

We ordered a Kimchi Steamboat with noodles, grilled fish and stir-fried rice cakes.

The steamboat was served with 6 types of 小菜 which can can be refilled. So we only pick those we like and asked the staff to refill. :-D I love their luncheon meat and fish cakes. As for kimchi, it was so so for me as I don't really fancy it. The steamboat was yummy! There are rice vermicelli on top of the noodles which we only realised it at the end.

They also served up with a jug of iced green tea which I found it abit bland. We also ordered their desserts. Haha! We had so much laughter when we can't decide which flavour to pick for the Mochi. So in the end, we just say that whichever flavour we got, that flavour's name will be our nick. Haha! I shall not reveal the nicks here. :-p

Thanks for the company, Bee Leng & Simon. Hope u had enjoyed my company too! :-)

Now thinking when will be our next gathering? Shall try to get Grace & Vivian out also. :-) I wanna see their babies!!!

After saying goodbyes to my 2 babes, I went to meet up with my ex-bosses & engineers.

We went for a drink @ Hyatt Hotel's Brix.
It's my first time there. It different from the usual spots that I had frequent with my girls recently.

We had a nice time there. I had 2 glasses of my favourite - Long Island Tea for that night. :-) All of us chatted so much of the past. The memories we had when I working with them. :-) My German engineer even ask me whether I will join them in future. Time really flies for all of us. Still remember it was 2 yrs ago when my German came over to install the crane @ Batam. That time was tough for me. I had to ensure that their machinery, visa and accommodation were all done properly. It's a very good experience!

For almost 5 years... I have not seen my ex-colleagues.

This is the nicest batch of colleagues that I ever had. I was taught with quite a number of skills during my contract-based employment.

Too bad, I didn't manage to get in as a full-time staff at that time. Coz there's a lady who had requested for a internal transfer from Malaysia.

It's alright. I'm also doing quite well now. And the changes that my ex-company had gone through might not be changes which I preferred. :-)

Thanks for Ms Law in organising this gathering. It's fun and we had lots of laughter. Lots of updates too. Haha! And Mandy is expecting her little princess to be due in early July. So now we are wondering when will be Juliana's & Anne's turn. Hehe!

Those time working with them will always be a sweet memories for me... I miss the times we spent together. I'm looking forward to the next gathering!!!

Some of them had left earlier. I'm sorry that I did not flash out my camera earlier... Oops! Coz I thought all are camera-shy...

I felt I had been eating alot for the past 2 days... It's very scary.

I'm really a glutton!!!

28th Apr - Ichiban
Simon called me up on Monday and ask if I'm keen in joining him and his wife(Lixin) for dinner @ Jurong Point Ichiban Boshi. As a Japanese food lover, I agreed immediately.

After reaching, then I realise actually they wanted to fill up their rewards cards with another $40 which can win them up to $80 food voucher I think. At first Lixin is still in doubt that we are able to make it to $40. But halfway through, she was finally convinced. And Simon told me that he knew I can help him on that. Coz I'm a sushi lover. Haha!

I was bloated by the food we ordered and some other items that they have redeem. Our whole table was practically full. The 3 of us are really 大胃王. Haha!

29th Apr - Pu Tien (Vivocity)
I'm supposed to go out with Jacinta & Peili for dinner but it was cancelled as Jacinta got something on. So Peili & I decided to go ahead with shopping as the date was already blocked out. We went to Vivo City in search of flats/slippers. It's a coincidence that both of us happen to look for something in the same category.

We went for dinner at Pu Tien in Vivo's Food Republic. This is the 2nd time I was there. Both was with Peili. This time round we order something different. 1 is their famous - Xin Hua 卤面 and the other is Xin Hua 米粉. We also got a Pu Tien Bao as it seems very nice. Indeed it tastes yummy. Hehe! Both the main course are also nice but the serving was too big. We had problem finishing it. So in the end, we had to leave some behind.

Luckily our shopping was after dinner. Or else, it's very fattening. I can't afford to grow fat anymore... or soon, my whole wardrobe has to be change again. Haha!

This year, we manage to catch Bee Leng for dinner at a date which is much closer to her birthday. We are only hours away from her actual day. Hehe!

This birthday girl is very cute too. I bought her a mini Polar cake and in return she got our a 6-pc mini fruit tarts from Prima Deli.

We had dinner at Jurong Point's Ichiban Sushi. Simon recommended the fried Salmon strips and a mixed don set.

All very yummy! I love the Salmon Don. It's good recommendations. He also told me that his wife love it lots. I love the sesame oil fragrance. It's very nice. Totally enhance the rice and Salmon together with the little pieces of chilli on it. :-)

After dinner, we just went for a short walk before heading back home. Bee Leng can't go back too late so we just went off too.

I think our next outing will be next month. :-)

Tonight suppose to be a group gathering but in the end, it ended up with Simon meeting me only.
BeeLeng was busy with her school work and Grace was too busy with work.

Now economy is so bad and I wonder how come she has so much things to clear.

Anyway, Simon and I decided to change the venue to West Mall which is much more convenient for the both of us as we can take the same bus back. Then the waiting time that Simon has to spend is slightly lesser. (*My working hours end 30mins later than his.)

We went to Sakae Sushi for dinner. Simon recommend me to have the Salmon Don. He told me that his wife had fall in love with Ichiban Sushi's Salmon Don so he wanna c if Sakae Sushi has the same. I found it not bad but I guess if I were to finish the whole thing myself, I won't be able to do so. Coz there is too much rice for me.

After dinner, we went walking around and I also went to Osmose and try on a dress. I love that dress at first sight(which was before CNY) when I saw it at Far East Plaza. But at that time I did not try on coz the price is too steep - S$79.

After trying on, it's fits me 90% except the low back part where I feel that I got some fats showing off. And this item is not under the storewide sale also. Thus I gave it a miss. Anyway, this dress is too formal that I can only wear during special occassion like formal dinner, Dinner & Dance etc. So I guess most of the time I will keep it in my wardrobe. Even if I bought it now, I will keep it inside first coz currently, I cannot foresee any chance of wearing it in the next 6mths.

We went down to Coffee Bean for a drink after finish with the shopping. Chatted for around hour before we headed back home.

Simon just told me that he wanna get a car soon since the price now is low. I do agree also. For a first time car owner, this is worth it. So he is going to monitor the market for awhile more and note a few more points before deciding. If Simon really gets a car, next time he can come pick me up before our gathering. Then I can also have chance to go Meiji!!! I miss my chocolates!!!

I'm just too greedy! By the way, I'm not trying to take advantage of him but it give me a chance to go out lunch with him at other places than our usual one. Hope he can get a good deal soon. :-)

Today I went to another colleague's house at Choa Chu Kang.
His wife is a great cook. She can cook alot of yummy dishes.

This gathering is slightly different from Thursday's. This gathering brings back old colleagues together.
Well, I felt abit left out at first as most of them I am not familiar.

Anyway, I never intend to stay too long also coz I got appointment with Darling. I had promised him to go out with him.
They started to play Blackjack around 3.30pm. I join in the fun too.

The banker is very 旺. It's hard to believe that player got Blackjack together with the banker right? Haha! It just happen right infront of me. It's not once but twice. That player got hopping mad.

Although alot of predictions wrote that Rat is one of the wealthy animal but my luck can't fight with the older rat. Haha! Coz the banker was a rat too. Hehe!

My total winnings of the day is $4. Haiz... Not enough to cover my cab fare there. :-p

It was a good year for me. Hehe!

Coz the first gambling session for the Year of Ox, I won $52! Hehe! I'm so happy!

Today I went to my manager house and 'bai nian'. It was suppose to be very joyous and crowded but in the end, it was left with the 6 of us playing 'Blackjack' (including owner himself). The rest of the colleagues had fly my manager's kite. Some with valid reasons and they are excused but some is because the rest cannot make it, then they find it weird so they did not turn up.

It was so sad that they initiate to have the event yet they are not supportive. Isn't it a sabotage??? My poor manager bought so much food and we can't finish all of it. In the end, each of us took abit home except me coz I went to Jacinta's house for dinner with Peili.

Today I saw Peili's Gucci bag again. I'm really in love with it. It's so beautiful but it's really too expensive for me. Anyway, I'm now setting a target to work harder and try to get something decent by the end of the year to reward myself! Let's pray hard together for me ok???

Since I had a good start this year, I hope it will end good too! :-p

I managed to meet my ladies @ Jurong Point only today.
Last Thursday was actually Jacinta's b'day but I can't make it last Friday to celebration for her due to Darling's b'day so we postpone till today.

We meet at Jurong Point's Ichiban Sushi for dinner. Peili was having sore throat so she can't take food that is too heaty or spicy.

At Ichiban sushi, I was caught by Simon & Lixin. Hehe! I didn't spot them at first. They were actually hiding at a side observing me & giggling. I think I make myself look like a fool. :-p

After dinner, we accompany Jac to shop around for CNY clothes.
I like the dress she fancy at M)phosis. It's beautiful especially the satin material one. But washing it has to be very careful. If not, it will be spoilt.

As for myself, I manage to spot a bag which has 3 uses - Sling, shoulder & clutch.
I was contemplating whether to get it or not while Jac is trying out her dress in the changing room. Well, after some advise from Peili, I decided to get it. Hehe!

Although the price is not super cheap, it's reasonable I think. Well, good buy I feel. Now I have a new bag to go JB with me tomorrow. Keke!

It's my first time attending a Malay wedding.
In the past, I always watch from my flat. Now I had experienced the actual. :-)

Congratulations to my colleague - Zazali.
His wife is very pretty and she is from Indonesia.

I love their wedding invitations. It's very unique. I heard they got it from Indonesia and it is not very expensive. It's hard cover some more. :-p

But there is one thing that I'm abit disappointed. Coz it was abit below my expectation. I had expected the wedding to be a very grand one but it was not as they had done it in Indonesia. Well, just my mis-prediction. Anyway, I started to know more of their cultures and also know my colleagues better. :-)

Whenever there's a special ocassion like birthdays, festivals upcoming, we will arrange to meet up and have dinner together.

This time round, it is to celebrate a brand new 2009. :-)
We met at Jurong Point. As I wanna eat Din Tai Fung. Hehe! I love it's Xiao Long Bao and I'm missing it alot. So the rest got to give in to me. Hehe!

The food there was nice. At least I can say that they kept their standard unlike some restaurants. Standards varies throughout their outlets. Totally no 'SOP'.

Anyway I simply love Din Tai Fung. It's really nice. Hope to go there soon. Hehe!
Thanks to Simon & Bee Leng for accompanying me. :-) We had a nice time chatting & gossiping.

Yesterday's Tree Top Walk has almost drained all my energy for today's bowling game.

But I was lucky that under all the hidden pressure given by my bosses, I still manage to play in the 1st 2 round.

I never manage to score this well previously. I'm really happy when I manage to get 130pts & 127pts in the first 2 games. When it came to the 3rd game, my leg muscles started to ache and I didn't manage to bend my leg as low as possible to get a good throw. Most of the time, the ball just went off the line. So sad!

Although our group wasn't the top 3 winning group but then, we are not the last also. Thus not so paiseh. :-)

After the bowling game, I went to look for Darling for lunch as Sweetie can't meet at the last minute. So I cancel the outing with Yan also.

We went to Toa Payoh for Botak Jones as Darling has been craving for it yesterday. :-) Then after lunch we went to Junction 8 for a walk then head to AMK Hub to watch the movie - Sing to the Dawn.

Suppose to meet my babes for dinner tonight but yesterday received info from Sweetie that she can't make it. She had mixed up 2 appointments together. Thus I went ahead for bowling practice session with my colleagues @ West Bowl.

My scores was so bad. I only got an average of 100 for 4 games. I had actually targeted to archieve much more. Haiz. As I'm playing with the big bosses, it's so stress for me. I hope I can do better on Sunday during the actual competition so that I won't let them down.

There's actually a league on going that night. As I watch the professionals play their game, I envy them. I was trying hard to pick a few tricks by seeing. Haha! But I failed. The sound of their bowling balls rolling down the lane was like music to my ears. Nice!

After the game, we went to Clementi Kopitiam for dinner. As it's already 9pm, I only had minced meat porridge. Vincent got us some popiah as side. In the end I was so bloated.

My schedule seems to be quite tight. I don't know what I was actually busy with. It's so unbelievable.

Maybe everything came at the same time.

This Friday, I got a number of things crashed together. There suppose to be another bowling practice after last Friday's practice but I can't make it coz I got to keep my promise. Jenny & I promise to treat another colleague of ours to Seafood dinner.

How I wish to be able to get to the bowling practice as my company is organising a bowling competition on 9th Nov. I'm teamed with the big bosses. It's so stressful. Some more during the last practice, my average score was between 80-90. I played so many gutter throw. Haiz.

But what to do? Luckily I still have some time for practice. Hehe! Mayb this Saturday I can drag Darling down to the bowling alley and ask for a few pointers. Hehe!

Got an e-voucher from Peili. It's the Swensen's 1 for 1 Sundae Sweet Treats.
I had it forwarded on to all my close friends and colleagues.

In the end, I only manage to arrange 1 outing with Simon, Grace & Bee Leng.

We meet at Jurong Point which is our usual place. Luckily we arrived early and manage to get a good seat. If it were to be 15mins later, the place will be fully packed.

Four of us ordered four different main course. And with Bee Leng around, we are entitled for the HSBC's 'Buy 3 main course & get the 4th one free". The free one will of course be the one at the lowest price.

So with the 2 promotions on-going, we manage to have great quality food at a low price. Each of us only less than SG$15 for a main course & half a sundae. (We shared 2 sundaes among 4 of us.)

It's a very valueable dinner.

I just did something that I shouldn't have done earlier on in office.

I bared my heart out. It's really beyond my tolerance of some of the people there. They are really rare species as descibed by 'someone'.

This afternoon, I got insulted over the phone. It's not only insulting but humiliating too. I can't imagine how can a manager to do. I define the term 'MANAGER' as someone who can manage people and not someone who uses their mouth to humiliate or insult people. If this is the way that they have to do it, it's just too bad. Eventually there will only be colleagues and no friends at all.

By then, everyone will be on their own trying to cover their ass and pushing their blame all over.

Everything started this way.
I was doing an order which involve huge quantity where I got to split the figures. I got so stressed up on splitting the figures correctly and re-checking for numerous time with fear that I will key in wrong delivery date or quantity.

This evening, Manager J called me and asked me to draw out that particular order. First time I thought was "OMG! Did I key in the wrong item?" While I was drawing out the order and trying to check thru the particular item that was mentioned by Manager J, she was there trying to 'help' by offering me the S/O# etc which I already got. I replied her that I don't need it and I'm looking at the system. Being so impatient, she started to have the following phrases shooting out from her mouth.

"I wonder how you fare for your Maths in school."
"Your maths must be very poor."
"I think you sure to have failed your Maths."

When I start to reply her there are no mistakes, she insisted that there is. When I was going to insist on the 2nd time of my point of view, she finally realised that she have seen the wrong line item and answered me - "Never mind. Nothing. I see the wrong item." After that, no a single word of apology, the line just got cut.

The moment the line was off, my steam was boiling. I was flaming up. I can't tolerate stress and insult at the same time. I try very hard to keep myself cool but I can't. Full of difficulties as I have been tolerating Manager J's nuisance for the past 2 mths. This is not the 1st time she insulted me this way. Especially for my favourite subject in school. I can jolly throw her my E.Maths result for 'O' Levels. I gotten A2 for that. I wonder how good is hers.

I'm not a saint. Neither is she. She made mistakes where the materials were delivered to customer's site as I follow her blindly and key into the system. For that case, I still have to apologised to her and ask her for directions as I take her as my senior. Yet it doesn't pay to be kind. She never remembers all the kindness. I will not remember hers from now on. A tit for a tat.

She made me cried and make a fool out of myself in office. My colleague, manager and director all saw. They wondered why. After finding out the story from my side, my manager went down to ask her side of story. She insist that she was harmless. Everything was unintentional.

After that, when my colleague went to down, once again she ask her to ask me not to be so narrow minded. But how can I not be narrow minded. I understand there's a chinese saying that define as the speaker is harmless but the listener takes it as intentional. So being a near 40 years old in less than 5 years, does she understand that?

Nothing can heal my broken heart now. She's really evil no matter whether she is intentional or unintentional. How will her niece feels if she was humiliated that way. World is round. I'm now waiting for her turn to come. I shall not be the one to get back on her for this. I believe there are still justice riders around. I'm waiting for my hero...

My birthday celebrations with my ex-colleagues.

Suppose to be in a group of 4 but now, it's very uneven. Only left with the 3 girls coz Simon has to meet his renovation contractors and settle some issue. Well, that is more important. We can always meet another day. Hehe!

Without him, we also had lots of fun.
Hehe! See! We are competing to be the ambassadors of Sakae Sushi. Who is more photogenic???

It's a big surprise that the 3 of us can eat so much. Guess it's because we joke and eat at the same time so we never realise that we are getting full. Hehe!
After we decided to end our 'main course', then it's time for dessert. "The start of the cake cutting session."

See the nice cake in the picture? It's yummy and beautiful. It's with compliments from Grace, Simon & Bee Leng. They are so nice to me ok?

I'm very happy.
So touch that there are people who can remember my birthday and willing to celebrate for me. I'm such a fortunate girl.

I guess it's true that all new comers are lucky.

After being in the new company for a week, I'm already invited for dinner. Invitation was sent last week and today I all geared up to have a good feast :-P

Dinner venue was Boon Lay Raja Restaurant @ Jurong East.

My 1st time to be there after their renovation. Even before their renovation, I can't find any trace in my memories that I have been there before. Hehe!

The food there was yummy food.

The host was a very good one. Gave us a very good treat.

The dishes that I had just now:- lobster cold dish, shark fin, mango duck, scallop & prawn, sliced abalone with spinach, chilli crab, steam fish, fried tunghoon, double boiled hashima.
The food are all expensive stuff. I had a full stomach before I left for home. Sure to gain lots of weight. Hopefully by next week I'm able to slim down abit for my company's D & D. Hehe!

After eating so much, it's time for me to keep quiet and stop complaining of fats. Hehe!

My 1st time to Crystal Jade Dining Place.
Previously I have always dine @ Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao or Crystal Jade Kitchen.

1st attempt at Crystal Jade Dining Palace gives me an impression that the food there seems to be overpriced. I feel the food was so-so only. I wonder what Jacinta & Peili think.

We had our dinner @ IMM branch. The dishes we ordered were 2 type of Mushrooms with Oyster sauce, Peking Duck, Fried Prawn with Salad, Spinach in Egg, Duck Meat Stir Fry with Ginger & Onion & Xiao Long Bao.

Out of the above 6 dishes, I only like the prawn and mushrooms. I'm always a mushroom lover. Hehe! Prawn is nice because of the salad cream. :-) It has some pickles in it so it's appetising.

Well, really nothing for me to rave about the food. For the above, we spent $112.00 in total.

The rating that I will give for its food & services will be 3 out of 5. Just a mere passed! I don't really recommend for next dinner unless it's a treat by others then I have no comments.

My first meetup with my ex-colleagues since I leave on 11th Mar.
It's also my dear friend, Bee Leng's b'day. This meetup is also a celebration for her.

We went to Swensens @ Jurong Point for dinner. I was surprise that there is promotion for birthday. Buy 3 main course and get the 4th free. It's a good deal. So we ordered it. Each of us got a different one.
From left to right (clockwise) - Simon's Breaded Chicken, Bee Leng's Fish & Chips, Grace's Sambal Salmon and My Salmon Pesto.

All tastes ok. Nothing very fantastic for me to rave. It's just the normal Swensens stuff.

On top of the main course, we ordered 2 additional ice cream and had a FOC Fire House which is for the birthday girl.

I love the ice creams. It's yummy! Or maybe I haven't really enjoy myself with ice cream for long. Hehe!

And how can cakes be missing on birthdays?
Of course with me around, I will not allow that to happen. I specially went to get her a mini Hello Kitty cake from Polar before I meet them. :-) Hope Bee Leng enjoys the mini cake with her son, Lance. :-D
