It's a slightly different Saturday for Sweetie & I.

I insisted to pop over @ IKEA Alexandra to check out the wardrode I want & gauge the budget for refurnishing my room. And yes, the budget which has been met just nicely. Hehe! Coz I bought my study table last year. Haha! And mum has been nagging me about the refurnishment that I intend to do.

Walking round IKEA has been fun but provided there isn't so much crowd around. The Restaurant was crowded too. But we managed to get a seat for 2 pax. We order a Coast Salad, Poached Salmon & Cream of Chicken for our late lunch.

After lunch, we proceed to Bugis to check out on the mani & pedi promo that UOB has offered her. But to our disappointment, appointment has to be booked in advance with the voucher and the last day of the promotion is 30th Sep!!! So we went over to Waterloo Street and offer incense at The Guan Yin Temple before going for shopping. I also went to OG to apply the membership for Darling's mum.

Then we went to round looking for shops to provide manicure & pedicure services in Bugis services but there isn't one which we like. So pop over Suntec City hoping that Dashing Diva has promo. On the way, we went to Bugis Junction washroom. And surprisingly, it's all crowded. We searched from levels to levels b4 finding the one nearest to Hotel Intercontinental which is not as crowded.

Upon reaching Suntec City, we shop around to see what's available and there I got myself the FiLa Kids Polo. Hehe! At first intend to give it a miss but Sweetie ask so we pop in and check. Haha! I finally got it. After that, we walk to Marina Square and walking past Dashing Diva, we found that it has closed. Erm as for closed for what purpose, I'm not so sure. Coz there's no sign stated outside. But it seems to be ceased from business. So no place to do mani & pedi. Had to head to Marina Square.

By the time we reach there, it's already 7pm. Luckily at Gracia's, there's slots for us to be pampered princess. I did a french mani & classic pedi. Color & service, I felt that it's so-so only. I prefer Gladys'. She much more pro in this. Haha! The amount spend was abt the same too. Thus I would rather take Gladys.

By the time we finished with our nails, it's already 9pm. Managed to squeeze into Dian Xiao Er as the last customer. Well, the duck wasn't that nice coz the skin is not crispy liao. So next time dun do it when they are abt to close. It won't be very nice. It's nicer to take it around 5.30-6.00pm when they are abt to open. :-D

I can't resist to yummy food. Neither do I resist to new release. Haha!

Being curious, I purchase Long John Silver's Grilled Chicken Rice @ $5/plate. It smells nice, taste nice. The rice had little herbs with it. The chicken is very tender. So down the drain it goes for my exercise earlier. I only manage to burn some calories after soaking in the jacuzzi and a little swim @ Bee Leng's house. I'm really not perseverance enough in slimming down. Got to knock more sense into my brain. I can't live my life going on getting fatter n fatter.

After the Long John Silver meal, the very next day, I meet up with Darling @ The Cathay for dinner. Billy Bomber was our choice as we want to spend away the voucher given by Eric. It's $12 off for purchase of $24 on ala-carte menu. And these are what we ordered.

Route 66 burger and Meatball Spagetti.

Haha! After long search then I realise Billy Bombers has chicken meatballs. I can't take beef thus lots of meatballs I can't take even though I heard so much rave abt them. Well, if you ask me how the taste of the food. I can only say nothing much for me to rave. It's normal meal. But the service there was excellent. I love the way I'm treated there. Well-mannered staff! I'll b back if I'm given the chance. :-)

P/s: The meatball spagetti has chilli padi with tomato sauce. If you are not unable to take too spicy, please inform the staff in advance to inform the kitchen.

Fanny has been telling me when she is free to bring Darling & I for nice nice fish head steamboat. But the both of us can't wait to try some. So we went ahead with our own just before setting off for the tour @ Chinese Gardens. Well, pple who know me will know that I can't resist to temptations.

We try the one @ the coffee shop near Clementi NTUC.
Taste wise, I think not too bad. We ordered the Chang Yu Steamboat. Total damamge: $26.00 with 2 bowls of rice. Personally, I only can take certain amount of Fish. Over-eating will cause me to have the nausea feeling. I don't know why. But I love the yam in the soup. It tastes so great. Hehe!

Saw out yummy steamboat? It took the both of us a long time before the steamboat was digested.

P/s: Fanny in reading. Although Kenny & I had the steamboat already, it doesn't mean that U can escape. Hehe! :D

Last Saturday, Darling & I bought mooncakes for each other's family from the Takashimaya Mid Autumn Festival Fair.

See how nice the mooncakes are frm Darling. It's unique. Nice packaging and food. I try the almond biscuit and walnut tart. It's yummy. And bro tried the mooncake, he love it to bits. Keep telling me how yummy it was.

Not only tasty. The packaging also very unique. There's a cardboard fan included.

Good yo bring this box of mooncake and go 'shang yue' on the 15th day of August. Haha! Very innovation! If I'm not wrong, the pdts are imported frm Taiwan. Company name: Rivon.

After the purchase, we went up to Darling's house first. Sorry for not showing what I have bought for Darling's family coz there's no time and place for me to take pictures of it.

Took a rest at Darling's house while he play his game and watch TV till about 9pm, we make our way to have dinner. Late dinner as earlier on I had a late lunch with Sweetie @ Taka and it's a very full one.

Dinner @ Botak Jones. Darling try out their Giant Chix Sausage. It's yummy. Haha! I can't resist to sausages. While I took the same old thing - Fish & chips.

The sausage is covered with lots of raw onions!!!

First keep in mind: Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Try entering the command C:\ I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and download Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0. If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Late Night 6.1. Late Night 6.1 is a very bad program that will create SnoringLoudly.wav files. Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0. In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Tasty Food 3.0 and Viagra 6.9.

Mid Autumn Festival is going to go off just like this. Year after year, the festival seems to be gone faster and faster. In 3 mths time, we will be expecting another new year. Year 2008. And that, it means that I'm getting older.

Well, let me greet everyone Happy Mid Autumn Festival first. I hope the greeting wasn't too late as in less than an hour. How did everyone spend their day? I spend the day in office as per normal and night was at sharing a packet of fried rice with Bro as I do not have much appetite.

But I had a pre-celebration with Darling @ Yu Hua Yuan. Went with Darling yesterday to take a look at the lanterns. Well, just as what Wayne advise earlier, there was nothing much there. Personally I feel so too. The lanterns were so so to me. I prefer the Hello Kitty one which I went a few years back. And that's the last time where I went for this type of event.

Actually last year and the year before, I wanted to make a trip down with Darling but due to the time constraints, it was called off. So this is the the first year we went together. Well being with the one u love was always great. Including this yesterday. We walked round the garden to take photos of the lanterns and us with the lanterens.

We also went to buy a candy floss.

We finished the garden in 2 hrs. There were places which we left out. The Pagoda. It's too high. Stairs all the way. We were tired!!! Last drop of energy was save for the trip back.

I'm sorry that aren't much photos that I can show as my camera wasn't very advance. Photos of the lanterns wasn't very nice and there are too many pple here and there. So it's slightly spoilt in a way. I'm a perfectionist. So those photos were kept for personal viewing.

Thinking of what I have said to my Sweetie on previous occasion and the past Friday & Saturday, I know have been harsh to her. Nagging and telling her off everytime like I'm her mum.

But believe me that I mean no harm. I'm just being straight-forward wanted to her to live her life to the best. Well, I know it's hard to change some habits. I myself is trying hard to change my character too. I don't want to be someone who is fake and pretendious.

I hope Sweetie will understand my yOng xIn Liang ku. I don't wish to see any misunderstanding created and lose such a nice friend.

We have been through many thick and thin. We knew how hard we went to get to where we are now...

The very next day after chalet, I had a gathering with my babes. It was Jiali who initiate it.It was a great one and as usual, we have to wait for Joyce.

VivoCity was the destination that all of us headed it. It was a Friday night and thus everywhere was crowded with pple.

Finally we pick Sushi Tei for dinner. We had to queue for approx. 20-30min b4 it's our turn. Although waiting was rather long but it's worth coz we got sofa seat where we are seated comfortably.

Yan & I headed in first as Jiali, Joyce & Hao went for their puff. While waiting for the 3 of them to be back, Yan & I try to take a photo with the Superstar Virgo b4 it departs. But sad to say, it wasn't very well taken.

Catching-up and teasing each other was as usual. Lots of laughter thru'out the dinner. But Joyce & I were slightly disappointed by the service staff there as some orders were taken wrongly or miss out. When told that order was wrong, face was shown and talk-back. Well, we are never going to be dampen by them. Will continue to have more fun.

See duplication of picture? Well, actually every shots has its differences. Hao was very 'pro' in photo taking. 1 scene he can take as much as 5 times??? And it's fun laughing away his actions.

After dinner, I left and went celebrating Eric's b'day with Darling & friends. Details will be up in next post.

I love the way I live for the past 3 days. It's so relaxing. How I wish I can do that everyday but I know I will get bored of it eventually thus I wish to have such a break once or twice a year. And that will be great!

On Tuesday, we went over to Pulau Ubin to cycle. Start our journey at around 11am and came back at around 5pm. It was very exciting and adventurous. I have never try all these before. I'm too much of a 'City Girl'. I came back tan! Haha!

Why do I say it's adventurous and exciting. COz I saw a total of 2 Chameleon thru'out the journey and 1 small white snake(abt rope size). I was alone when I saw it. It went so fast that before I manage to get back my senses, it has cross the path and got into the other side of the jungle. Luckily I was cycling at the point of time. I can't imagine what will happen to me. Will I just faint or run at top speed?

Other than the above gross creatures, I manage to catch a glimpse of the butterflies, wild boar, rabbits, mud skipper, cats & dogs etc.

We also went to a number of places. I will blog more when I get the photos from Wayne. Majority are in his camera. Hehe! I only got a few coz my camera 'cannot make it'. Haha!

*P/S: The guys are very nice tour guides. We never get lost in Ubin. They are very professional! They also taught me how to change the gear for my bicycle so that I won't have to waste too much energy. I love going out with them.

We will be going to Pulau Ubin for cycling. I'm getting all excited. It will be very adventurous I believe.

Just like other Saturday, I went out with Darling after he finish his lessons. Went down to OG Orchard to search for the FILA Kids Polo but there isn't any purple color available and so I can't purchase it together with MeiFang. So sad. Haiz... Just luck.

Then went upstairs to check out whether there are any promotion for EBENE Bio-Ray products. I heard lots of raves about this product thus I was thinking of getting the gloves for Mum to try out first. And we made a good choice by going there. I got Mum a pair of gloves with 20% discount whereas Darling got waist belt @ the promotion price of $99. And all these good deals entitles me to be a member of OG.

After the shopping, I went up to Darling's house. His mum invited me over for dinner. We went to Din Tai Fung @ Junction 8. Dinner went well. We had lots of food. I was so bloated after that. I was surprise that I can eat so much. Guess they will b thinking that I'm such a glutton. Haha!

Sunday
It's my usual outing day with Sweetie. But before I went out with her, my family pop over @ Geraldine's house to celebrate her boy's first month. I didn't manage to catch his name but he will be a handsome boy when grows up. Coz his Mum is pretty and Dad is handsome. Hehe! As Geraldine is living in the block next to Guozhong, I wake him up frm his afternoon nap as I wanted to return him things.

Finish the gathering and party at Geraldine's, Dad, Mum & Bro went to Tiong Bahru for shopping before going over to another uncle's house for another round of gathering. And that's when I meet Joyce and went to Far East Plaza for eyebrows trimming. I can't imagine how untidy it was.

And today was the biggest treat that Sweetie had given herself. We went to LV @ Taka and Sweetie got herself a key and change holder. Great deal! I must say coz USD is low now where we can spend. Hehe! After that we went dinner @ Sakae Sushi Heeren.

Heeren seem so dead. I wonder where the crowd had went to and how the shops survive. Then I realise that I could go check at Wisma's FILA. So we walk over after dinner. I also check with Sweetie whether she wanted to buy also and she agreed. But sad to say again... There isn't our size available. Haiz... I'm hitting nails everywhere. Went home empty-handed...

Just finished my appointment with Meiqing & Fanny @ West Mall.

Some introduction on Meiqing. She is my Prudential Consultant. A very nice lady. Give good advice.

I just recommend Fanny to her. And I found out that nowadays if you want to investment, the hassle of doing it is lesser. Just few months ago, I still need to go to the bank to open an account for my CPF investment but now, Prudential has tied up with DBS and they do it for you at ago. Thinking of this, I was thinking back how unlucky I am. Haiz... got to experience bad customer service that time.

Not only that, the charges are lesser now. It seems to get more and more competitive nowadays.

Well, personally I think it's good to do some CPF investment now. Coz it will be good for flat purchase and retirement. Just look for your personal financial consultant to talk about it. :-)

Met Meifang at IMM just now. Our timing was almost perfect. Hehe!

I'm so sorry to make her rush all the way over to meet @ IMM as I will be early due to my off work timing.

It's Meifang's first time being at IMM after the building had it's renovation. And me being quite a regular there can show her round the place.

We went to have Pepper Lunch. I tried the Chicken Pepper Rice with Cheese added. I regret it as it was too cheesy. Not only that, the rice tastes too salty as I added too much garlic soy sauce. Haiz... I should have added more of the honey brown sauce. Wasted! But I will give it another try soon. Meifang had the Teriyaki Salmon Steak. It was nice. Then we shared a "Matcha" Green Tea Ice Cream.

After dinner, we pop over to FiLa and I spotted a Kids Polo Tee which I love it. The logo was with hearts & diamante. It's cheap too. $39.90 for 2 but too bad, there isn't our size left for our favourite color. Another wasted trip. I will not give up. Will go check out this weekend.

We also went to HangTen. There's promotion on going. I went to try the pants but then the cuttign doesn't really fits me. While Mei Fang try the T-shirt, it's too translucent. So nothing for us there.

Soon we finish combing Level 1 and I started to feel sick. Thus decided to end the shopping trip early. Took a cab and went back.

It's a nice place for group gathering. The cuisine is Mongolian Steamboat Buffet. At there, you can have a choice of 2 types of soup (something similar to yuan ying steamboat)and around 50 over food choices. Noth only that, they provide free flow of syrup drinks at a price of $2.
It's super worth isn't it? Not only that, they have promotion for going in groups of 2 & 3. So do your maths calculations. I actually went with a total number of 15 people. And with drinks, the price of each pax is ard $14.50. Fantastic!

Thus from now, stretch every of your dollar. Go try out at San He Yuan Steamboat Buffet @ 139 Kitchener Road. Exit H at Farrer Park NEL MRT.

It's beside a 7-eleven just along the road. Once you exit from Exit H, it's on the left. You will get to see the row of shops.

After trying out the steamboat, Darling & I tag along with his friend to check out Duck Race 2007. It's an eye opener for me. It's so nice to see so many rubber duckie streaming down the river. :-D

In conjunction with the Duck Race, there is funfair and show going on. I manage to catch the last performance of the belly dancing under the sorching sun. The dancers were fantastic. I love to see their shaking of bellies. Haha! There's 'san ceng rou' unlike what Fanny told me, it can firm the stomach.

Done with the duck race, we proceed to Marina Square to check out the timing of the movie - The Magic Gourd but sad to say, it wasn't shown there. It seem nice on advertisement but like not much support from the cinemas. Ratatouille has taken over. As I have been there last week and on Saturday, we decided to end early. Darling send me home.

On the way back, we decided to take some photos.
Personally, I love this one the best. :-D

We ate to our hearts content once again. Peili & I was so full till we decided not to have dinner that night.
Sushi Tei was the place where I will take Cha Soba & Tiger Prawn.
This round, we order was Grilled Salmon & Cha Soba, Ika Tempura(Not the same as Sakae Sushi), Mango Tiger Prawn roll & 12pcs of sashimi.

The pricing was reasonable too. After 10% discount, it's around $40.

Done with our stomach, we proceed on to do our shopping. Prices are so unreasonable in lots of places. Haiz. Everything seems to be overpriced. I dun understand. It's hard to survive here now. Both of us did so much window shopping till we are exhausted. In the end, only Peili managed to get a belt. She saw a cardigan which is perfect for her to wear for a function but the size she wanted was out of stock. So sad.

The day was ended physically exhausted & emotionally sad. We didn't manage to get things we like. It seems so much like an fruitless trip.

It's another Friday gone. Hehe! And this friday was spent fruitfully. Keke.

Why I would say fruitful. Coz I get to meet Darling's Poly classmates. We went to Ramen Ten @ Far East Plaza for dinner and then proceed up to KbOx Plaza @ AMK. And we play thru the whole night till 2.15am in the morning b4 we proceed back home.

Dinner was nice. I try the TomYum Chicken Ramen. I love the spicy & sourness. Darling got the paper pot. It's yummy and filling for one pax. Chitty chatty is what we do in between the meals. Hehe!

Went over to KbOx Plaza. I was quite surprise with the naming. KbOx Plaza & KbOx AMK are both in AMK. So I guess it's their way of differentiating the 2 KbOx and mayb KbOx bought over the building which KbOx Plaza is now sited. But I dun see the need to have 2 KbOx in AMK Central. Is there such high demand for it? Or KbOx Plaza just opened not long ago??? I wonder. Haiz...

Well, that is not important. Most importantly is that we enjoy ourselves. I sang quite a number of songs with BiLing and Darling. Hehe! It's so happy go singing again after so long. I had forgotten when was the last time that I had went singing till our hearts contented :-)

WoohOO! I sign up as a GV member already.
Hehe! I got to know about this membership via Yes 933fm.

Personally I feel that it's good to have this membership. As it is free signup and so no harm keeping it. The card is also very unique and petite for wallet. Definately it will also come in handy when I wanna catch a movie at GV in future.

I just collected my membership card from GV Vivo City. Went there as I'm meeting my engineers and boss for dinner @ Prima Tower.

We went up to the well-known revolving restaurant that serve Beijing cuisine and their famous dish is Peking Duck. Yum yum! I love the Peking Duck. It's crispy and I can taste a layer of fat too. Tasty with the traditional flour skin wrap. The other type of wrap is the egg skin which we did not order.

The food up at Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant was rather high end. The duck itself cost $55. We also order a fish which is cooked in 2 styled - Steamed & Deep-fried. I love both the styles. Price is $60. Then the mushroom and seasonal green cost ard $20+ if I'm not wrong. We almost ordered a plate of fried noodles with the Peking Duck meat. They charged an additional cost for this which I'm not sure how much. Dinner course was ended with a plate of fruits as desserts will be way too much for us.

After dinner, we walk over to St James and got seated outside Peppermint to chill till 11 where I feel tired and decided to head home. Well, my boss and another engineer went over to Harry's @ Orchard and I share a cab with Kee & wife back.

It's my first time going to the Army Open House.

I felt so excited all the way coz bro went last Thursday and came telling me how good it was and he didn't manage to finish everything.

Well, the Open House was a great one. Just that it's wet weather. Mood was dampen by that. There are lots of kids there. They are so excited with the display and demos. Thus resulting in queues everywhere.

I manage to catch the display of Our Heros on Parade.

There are so many kids who went down to take photos with the HEROS.

I wonder whether they will think it as transformers or power rangers. :-)

Spend the day with my Darling. He was sick. Thus I forgo my other appointments to accompany him.

See, sick but still so cheeky. Haha!
I pity my darling. Although he is very sick, but he still have to drive his dad out and go shopping with me. I'm so fortunate to have him with me. :-D

And there seeing him so sick, as a reward for my darling, he was allowed to choose the venue for dinner. We had dinner @ Cafe Cartel @ IMM.
I ordered the Meat Lover and we were joking about the sausage shown on the menu and actual. On menu, it was curled up but actual it was served straight. Keke!

Out with my Sweetie to City Hall, Marina Square & Suntec Area. It was so crowded everywhere. Especially at Comex. Although we knew that it was crowded, we still went to check out the cost of the memory stick for Sweetie's PSP and found that it was so ex. Luckily I nv bought. Or else, I guess it might b sleeping one corner of my house or my bro has alright took it for his own.

We had a hard time squeezing out frm Comex then proceed on to get some Hello Kitty stuff frm Level 3 and went over to Marina Square. We shopped around and realise the trend has all gone into Autumn/Winter collection which derive us frm buying. Sadz... I didn't manage to get a bag I desire. I need a replacement!

Thus, Sweetie suggested to pop over at Bugis Street as she has seen one which is rather nice but it's dark brown. Well, it's not exactly what I want but I dun mind to take a look.

Well, look look see see and it's mine. Haha! I can't go out and went back empty handed as it was already in mind that I wanna get some stuff. So I bought it anyway. I'm going to use it tmr. Hehe!

We had our dinner at Seafood Harvest - UE Square. They had some changes to their menu. One of it was the Escargots. Personal preference: I like the previous flavour better. The currently one with clams seems to be lack of something in the taste. Maybe the amount of spices used has been lowered. Another one which I have spotted was the crab stuffed mushroom. It's my personal favourite... but it's gone for now. It's alright coz they replace it with some potato skin item. Will give it a try next time.

Dinner was a great one although Sweetie keep walking away talking to her ex-colleagues. I felt so lonely. Haiz... Got to accept it coz it's been sometime since she last saw them.
