Weather has been very warm nowadays... And sleep late doesn't help... coz in the end I will end up with severe headaches...

It's was Mother's Day yesterday. I was home the whole day. I woke up around 1pm feeling very stone. Brother went to for self-study with his friends. Dad has went back to Malaysia to visit Grandpa as he has not fully recovered.

So there were no plans for Mother's Day till Bro texted me at 4pm asking whether I got plans. I told him that it will be crowded everywhere and I'm running out of ideas of where to go. Thus he suggested Bali Thai at West Mall. I tried my luck to call and make a reservation. Bingo! And I got it. Haha!

Dinner was at 7.30pm.
We ordered quite an amount of food which make all of us so full. I almost puked. To think my Bro can still request for 1 serving of Mango Sticky Rice. Mum & I salute him! Haha!

But actually the food there was very nice. Hehe! I love their green curry chicken. It's a must-try item in every of my visit.

Glad that Mum & Bro love the food there. :-) I did not order the wrong items. Hehe!

Lastly, I wanna wish Mum a very Happy Mother's Day! :-D

This year, we celebrated our Valentine's Day differently.
We got a room @ Changi Village Hotel. It was a special promotion package by UOB cards.

We thought it was quite reasonable and the rooms might have sold out earlier as we only notice the promotion 1 week before Valentine's Day. Haha!

The package is S$298 which consists of 1-night stay @ their deluxe room, 1 bottle of housepour (red), 4-course dinner for 2 with 1 pralines and American breakfast buffet for 2.

As they are expecting a big crowd at their standard check-in timing, they called up Darling and ask us to arrive earlier if possible. This whole thing had almost become a nightmare for the 2 of us.

Firstly, we arrive @ the hotel lobby at 10am. The staff issue us with the wrong room and I spotted the difference of name on the slip. Then we were issue with coupons for complimentary drinks. Thus we took our drinks and waited. 10mins passed and the room is not ready so we decided to go for breakfast. Just before we set off, Darling asked me whether I had received the flowers that he sent. I was blurred and he thought I was kidding him. Well, anyway it's true that I did not received the flowers in time as the delivery guy did not manage to send on time. So sad! I wanted Darling to call up the florist and ask them to divert the flowers over but too bad, we didn't manage to coz Mum called me and said that she received the flowers on behalf of me before we call. Haiz!

After breakfast, we walked back to the hotel. It was around 11.10am. We check with the staff and was told the room was no ready and we got to wait. She even said that she will come over and hand us the keys personally once everything is ready. At 11.35am, we saw her walking off for her break. OMG!!! I can't believe my eyes and I started to pressurise Darling.
We popped over to the counter and asked. Now another on duty told us it's not ready and I overheard him calling the housekeeping asking them to prioritise our room first. Immediately, I questioned him on how long more I had to wait and their front desk manager sensed my anger was rising and ask him to issue us with another room first. Every thing ended just before 12noon.

We took a rest before going to Tampines Mall for shopping. Hehe! I really buy! Got 2 lingeres top & 1 Mango racer back. We also went to the bazaar(aka Pasar Malam) for our late lunch.

We headed back to the hotel around 7.30pm after getting some groceries. The cashier joked with me that Darling only buy 1box of chocolates to celebrate Valentine's Day with me. Haha!

Our room for the night. Very nice and cosy. I love the bathroom. Can watch TV from the shower.

Just this whole set meal, it will cost S$110++/couple. And there's a stalk of flower for each couple. The praline is also given during the dinner and it's a heart shaped one. So sweet isn't it?

Frankly speaking the prawns are done so nicely and the sauce fits it so well that I did not have enough of it. Darling's lamb rack was fantastic too. Just abit of complain. The portion seems abit little. Haha! Oops! Am I too greedy?

After dinner, it around 10.30pm. We took a slow walk to Darling's car and drove it back to hotel. As earlier on, the parking was full due to the high demand by the wedding event's guests and couple celebrating Valentine's Day.

It's a very sumptuous one as compared to my usual.

I love to have this type of breakfast once in a while coz it will make me feel so pampered. Haha!

Finished with the breakfast, we went back to the room and take a rest before checking out. As time is still early for home, we went over to Downtown East and catch a movie.

The movie is "Underworld : The Rise of the Lycans". It's a very nice one. Enjoyable but the cinema was very cold. I kept shivering and Darling hugs me tight. :-p
We also found one new restaurant which is called "Super Dog". we try their hot dogs and it's yummy.

It's pretty isn't it? I love it alot. Too bad it didn't came in time for me to bring to the hotel.

It's a yearly affair that I will arrange for gathering at my house for my group of army boys. :-p

This year happen to be slightly different abit. Haha! I was surprise that I manage to get some of the absentees who are away from the previous years to join in. So the group was bigger this year. :-) (Actually at first I thought the response might be poor. :-p)

My mum had to cook steamboat for dinner. Luckily most of the items we got is to put into the steamboat. If not, she has to work alot in the kitchen.

This year, I had try to make some of them come earlier for the mahjong as previously they all came very late and we can't play much. So I put the timing from 2pm onwards. In the end, they came at 3pm onwards. Haiz...

This is the first group of players. :-) They had lots of fun playing mahjong.
And now I'm dreaming about having this type of gathering every now and then at my own house. :-p

Dinner commence at 6pm as Sharon Phang has another group waiting for her. She is very busy as she flying back the very next day. 3 weeks flied fast for her. Her frenz cannot only catch her once a year if not, we gotta fly over to Perth and visit her.

Joyce is my sweetie. Not easy to get her also. My mum just mention the other day that it has been years that she last seen her. Hehe!

I got Sharon Yoh to come over as actually that day we suppose to go out with Sharon Phang for a drink but it was cancelled in the end. So this gathering is a make-up for the drinking session. :-p

I'm sorry that some of my other friends were missed out from the invitation list. I did not forget anyone of you. All my friends are in my heart. It just that my current house is too small and not so nice to make my parents work to hard in the preparations of everything. I promise that if I own a house, I will start to invite all of you.

After dinner, we started with 'healthy gambling' session. As the host, I become the banker for the Blackjack and at the mahjong table, my brother join them for fun.

At the start of the Blackjack, Chee Ming got triple 7s. It was quite unbelievable isn't it? Luckily they only requested the payback to be 3times. Or else, I guess a hole have been burnt and I'm unable to continue as the banker.

We played till 2am in the morning for the mahjong. Blackjack was ended around 11pm and they started with a friendly game of Big 2.5 as most of the pockets were 'injuried'. :-p Sorry folks! I hope it wasn't too serious.

My total winnings for the day - $78 ($75 from Blackjack & $3 from Mahjong)
My brother's losing for the day - $21 (Mahjong). Haha! He pay a huge sum(consider his age and ability) for the school fee.

Yummy Pizza!!!

Hehe! I love the barbecue meat and the crispy crackers.

I made the right choice by inviting my bro for dinner. He help me to finish one more slice of pizza when I can't swallow it down anymore. The golden ingots are nice. Each with 1 shrimp. And the cheesy ingots surrounding the pizza. It's filling. Haha!

Hope my brother had enjoyed it! I will bring him again when there's other promotion. :-)

Today I went to another colleague's house at Choa Chu Kang.
His wife is a great cook. She can cook alot of yummy dishes.

This gathering is slightly different from Thursday's. This gathering brings back old colleagues together.
Well, I felt abit left out at first as most of them I am not familiar.

Anyway, I never intend to stay too long also coz I got appointment with Darling. I had promised him to go out with him.
They started to play Blackjack around 3.30pm. I join in the fun too.

The banker is very 旺. It's hard to believe that player got Blackjack together with the banker right? Haha! It just happen right infront of me. It's not once but twice. That player got hopping mad.

Although alot of predictions wrote that Rat is one of the wealthy animal but my luck can't fight with the older rat. Haha! Coz the banker was a rat too. Hehe!

My total winnings of the day is $4. Haiz... Not enough to cover my cab fare there. :-p

It was a good year for me. Hehe!

Coz the first gambling session for the Year of Ox, I won $52! Hehe! I'm so happy!

Today I went to my manager house and 'bai nian'. It was suppose to be very joyous and crowded but in the end, it was left with the 6 of us playing 'Blackjack' (including owner himself). The rest of the colleagues had fly my manager's kite. Some with valid reasons and they are excused but some is because the rest cannot make it, then they find it weird so they did not turn up.

It was so sad that they initiate to have the event yet they are not supportive. Isn't it a sabotage??? My poor manager bought so much food and we can't finish all of it. In the end, each of us took abit home except me coz I went to Jacinta's house for dinner with Peili.

Today I saw Peili's Gucci bag again. I'm really in love with it. It's so beautiful but it's really too expensive for me. Anyway, I'm now setting a target to work harder and try to get something decent by the end of the year to reward myself! Let's pray hard together for me ok???

Since I had a good start this year, I hope it will end good too! :-p

This year is so different for me. I went back with a different mood. And the itinerary was different from usual too.

Upon clearing the customs, Cousin Don pick us up and drove us to the new shopping mall in JB. I can't remember the name. It's big and they got an factory outlet. I spent RM100 on a short skirt, a pair of shorts & a necklace. Dad & Bro spend about RM200 altogether.

This is taken in the centre of the mall. :-) Long time never take family photo.

After shopping, we went for dinner. The food there is nice and I love their 五香. It's so different from Singapore's. We order twice because we love it and it's cheap!

We also went to Cousin Don's condo. It's my first time seeing the design of Malaysia's condo or high rise flat. Usually theirs is landed property. Rest there for a while then proceed to Cousin Ryan's house.

We miss their house warming & baby shower last September. It's a pity. But at least now to get to see the baby and their house. It's huge and beautiful. The whole estate is fenced up with security.

I like her alot. She very obedient and easy to look after. On the way back to Grandma's house, she was sleeping away sweetly. And the best part is that she slept right after she got onto the car 15mins.

I experienced power failure on the early morning of the eve of CNY at Cousin Ryan's house. Luckily we are all going back to Grandma's house (for them is to my uncle's hse) so nothing much to worry except their house security alarm. But they got their neighbour to keep alookout so it would be alright.

As we had spend a day in JB, the whole trip seems to be shorter. It helps to divert my attention away too. I got nothing much to do there. No laptop to online, only my NDS Lite to play. I have no patience to guide the kids. There are too many and all hyper-active.

I'm glad that I'm back in Singapore now. The living pace there is slow and quiet. Good for retirement and play mahjong but not for the current me.

Before I start on the things I did for the last day of 2008, let me wish everyone

Happy New Year, 2009!

Yesterday was more or less the usual stuff for me. Work ended slightly early but there are things that I have to rush through. So in the end, not much different for me on the early release @ 3pm.

After work, I meet Sweetie & Yvonne in town. We walk around in Orchard before proceeding to Central Mall for our dinner @ Mr. Curry.

Food was nice but the waiting time is a killer. We got to queue for seats and the serving time for me(only) took very long. I guessed they had miss out my order. Coz the rest of them got it before me and they were finishing soon. Their serving was quite big for we ladies and the curry was quite creamy. Sweetie came to the conclusion that Waruku Group of restaurant's food were quite creamy n heavy for their soup base. Thus next time if Sweetie & I were to dine there again, we would share the main course. If not, we will get sick of it before we manage to finish.

But I love their freebies, we can bring back their table map which is a calendar & a plastic fan. For kids, I think they have more gifts. :-)

After dinner, we decided to go Pitstop to 'chill out' and do our countdown. :-P
Luckily, Yvonne had booked the slots in advance. If not, I guess we won't be able to have a seat there. Hehe! We played quite a number of games - Spy Alley, Ugly Ugly Ugly, Ubingo etc. There is so much fun and laughter until we miss the countdown. Hehe! We only realise it when we heard the fireworks. Haha! Too bad we didn't manage to catch it.

We continue to play games till 1am in the morning and Terence drove us back.

It was a simple and nice start for my 2009. Hope everything will be better soon.

As mentioned earlier, the Christmas this year was a very quiet one for me.

Thus no big celebration for Darling & I too. We just did something that is slightly different from the usual outing which is dress up more formally.

This year, I wore Darling's favourite color - Purple. I bought this dress quite some time ago and kept it in my wardrobe till this day comes by. The neckline is quite low and revealing. :-) The dress is more suitable for a formal occasions than normal outing.

Well, let me touch back on the Christmas Day itself.

I met Darling Orchard around 2.30pm as he was out earlier with his friend to pick their comics. I was there later coz I only to be around to pass them the Kinokuniya's membership card as there is a 20% discount.

After purchasing the comics @ Kino, his friend went off and we proceed back to AMK Central and continue to purchase more comics. Practically, this Chirstmas, we had no idea what we can do. Coz it seems like every place was closing early and there isn't much to shop & see.

Dinner was settle @ The Hong Kong Cafe opp. Novena MRT. It was a last minute decision as we had no idea of where to go. Haha! We are really quite lost that day. :-p

Going to the Hong Kong Cafe let me reminisce the happy time that we had. It's a good(last min.) choice made by Darling. He once again let me feel his love for me. He really pampers me alot. I really enjoy this anniversary cum Christmas with him. It's really a very meaningful one.

My Christmas eve for the year 2008 was celebrated in a very simplified way.

Went to KBox Buffet Dinner with Joyce, Yvonne & her bf - Terence.

Joyce & I went to start our session at 6.45pm first as Yvonne is still busy with work.
She came & join us around 7.15pm and Terence join us shortly after that.

It's been a long time since I last went for singing. So I wasn't really in the form to sing just now. Only sang 2 or 3 songs myself and some was together with Joyce.

Finished our singing session around 10.30pm and we went back as we can't find any other entertainment or things to do.

But before we left, Joyce insisted to have a photo with her idol. Thus Yvonne & I join in the fun with her.

Well, this Christmas wasn't a very nice one to me. I don't know why it feel so plain.

Maybe it's due to the downturn of the economy.

I hope things will get better soon.

This year, I celebrated my Mid Autumn Festival at home.

We had a simple steamboat reunion dinner. Actually wanted to ask Darling over but he went to Fiona's wedding dinner so we just spend ourselves.

After dinner, Bro & I wanted to have some Mid Autumn Festival's atmosphere so we dim the living room's light and lit up the lanterns that I got at Chinese Garden.

I also got some snow skin mooncakes from Goodwood Park Hotel which is with compliments from my company. It's 4 different flavours - Durian, Yam, Jackfruit and Mango. The packaging is very special. They provide the bag for cold storage also. :-)

Darling got a set of 6 mini snow skin mooncakes for Mum & Dad. 2 flavours each - Blueberry, Apricot & Red Bean. :-) Very special isn't it? It's from Yuen Long Wing Wah.

YES! Finally I got the chance to go the Chinese Garden Lantern Fantasy 2008 - F8 Hello Kitty Go Race!

Actually my heart was still in fear of what happen last weekend. I'm so scare that things will repeat itself again. But luckily the sky was cleared and everything was perfect.

Darling bought dinner(Subway & Tori-Q) from Jurong Point before picking me up at office. After that we proceed straight to Chinese Garden and had over dinner there. :-) It's quite a special feeling. Haha!

We entered at their main entrance which is from the car park. First we saw the Sanrio Family in 2 lines by our sides.

Following by the famous bridge. Last year was blue with dolphins. This year is colorful with Hello Kitties. :-) I love each and every one of it so much. How I wish I can carry one back and place it in the corner of my room. Keke! :-p

The main hall was the trophy and Sanrio Family members. Dear Daniel & Hello Kitty was holding on to their newly won trophy from The F8 Race.

We walked on to search for the starting point which they had started at and managed to catch some highlights of the various races.

After the races were all over, they had a celebration party which was so fun & great!!!

Sanrio Family was so happy that we went for skating!!!

So wonder what the F8 racers do doing their free days other then practice racing??? They go out into the sea and have a cosplay play party.

In the garden, there's an athletes village also. Darling and I manage to 'win' a few of them. Haha!

We also went to the Garden of Beauties and the Monoglian village.

Overall my experience this year was much better then last year. Although the number of things to see is lesser but I feel they are more beautiful this year. There is only one regret which is there are 2 sections not lighted up. I think there are some problems with the generators and the management did not realised. Haiz... So sad... It's just my luck. Hopefully they are able to rectify the problem soon and others can get to enjoy the beauty of the lights. :-)

Saturday
Finally my spectacles are ready for collection. Hehe! I'm so happy! I can't wait to put them on.
See how pretty it is. Different look from my previous. Hehe!

After collecting my spectacles, went up to Darling's house to rest.As later in the night, we will be going out for dinner with Darling's family. Coz last weekend, we are back in Malaysia. So didn't get to celebrate Father's Day for Darling's dad. Thus his brother suggested this weekend instead - Belated Father's Day celebration.

We had actually decide to go Dragon Gate Restaurant for their buffet. But upon reaching there, we realised both their halls are catered for wedding so we changed to Pu Tien @ Kitchener Road as suggested by Darling's dad. 1st time there after hearing so many raves by others online. I found the food so-so. Maybe I'm not feeling very well as my throat was sore. Thus food tasted that way for me.

Sunday
It was my paternal Grandaunt's 87th birthday celebration. Auntie Janet had arranged for buffet at her house for Grandaunt's birthday.

Auntie Janet had requested me to bring Darling this time as she wanted me to show him to Grandaunt and her. *P/S: Maybe to my rest of the relatives also.

My health wasn't very good that day. So was abit moody. Anyway, I didn't really mix with my cousins also. Only get to see them once in a blue moon. They can't be bothered about my family's existence. Can you imagine that my 2 smallest cousins dun even bother to greet my parents? So needless to say, Bro & I wasn't greeted too. Instead, I have to call out to them first. Haha! I wonder how they are educated. Both in Secondary if I'm not wrong. Since there wasn't much for us to do other than sitting in a corner, we escape once we can. I just wanna show face and also keep my promise.

After the party, Darling & I went to Lot1.
Frankly speaking, I was much more comfortable there. Coz ventilation was much better and I saw my favorite Hello Kitty and Friends. Hehe!

After the show finishes, we window shopped for awhile before Darling sent me back. He needs to go back early too as tomorrow he has to report back to work. There are many things to pack and get ready.

My past few days flied by so quickly.

15th Feb
Went back home to have shower and dinner b4 heading to my Uncle's hse in Kim Tian Road.
It's a yearly routine that we will visit them. But this year our timing was slightly later then usual coz we spend more time in Malaysia.
Gathering with my Auntie & Uncle was very nice. Although they have aged, but my auntie still treat me & Bro the same. Offering many CNY goodies to us. Giving us the authority to open the fridge also. Haha!

16th Feb
Early morning I have to wake up and get ready to go to Grandaunt's house for prayers. So sad that I never get to see my little Cousin. Her mummy wasn't in time to get there b4 we left. We have to leave hastily as I'm having a gathering @ my house in the evening inviting the army boys, Mary & her boy, Sharon and my Darling. It's a big big group. Haha!
Luckily most of the food were for steamboat. Thus not much cooking except the soup base, vegetables and some Otah popiah which was my favourite. :-)
The group of us play mahjong & Blackjack till 2am in the morning. They were great company.

17th Feb
As Chinese New Year is ending soon, I had to go to the temple make prayers to 'Tai Sui' as I'm a RAT. We went to the temple in Pandan Gardens. It's our usual place. There is a God of Fortune there too. I make my prayers to him for a small winning. And true enough, I strike 4D that night. Although it's a small amount that I win but I'm already very happy. Coz it shows that I have luck in this year.
I had dinner @ Darling's house. His mum cook a very big spread. Every round of guest sitting down for dinner has a new fish being steamed.
P/S: The number that I strike was given by my mum. And usually I dun buy 4D. I was plain lucky that Darling called and mentioned that his mum is going to buy TOTO. So I just tag along. Hehe! I have to thanks this 2 precious woman. :-D

I know that I owe everyone lots of update. But I have got no choice as I'm too busy this CNY. So bear with it k? Thanks alot.

6th Feb
It's CNY Eve. But I still have to work till 12pm. So I went back to Johor straight after that. Luckily I had my cousin waiting for us at City Square. If not, the journey to reach Grandma's hse will be 2.5hrs.

Upon reaching, my mum got to the back of the kitchen and help out for the night's dinner - Steamboat. Well, this is one of the few things that I always look out for when I'm back in Malaysia. Coz there will be nothing much for me to do.

After dinner, my cousin invited me over to their house for mahjong. This is part of the routine and they always got me to be the camera lady for their family photo. Hehe!

7th Feb
The mahjong session lasted till 3am. After that I was exhausted and decided to turn in to bed. Slept all the way till 11am. Woke up and had lunch at 1pm. It was vegetarian steamboat. I had this for several years and I'm not tired of it. In fact, I love it to bits. Hehe!
After lunch, Cousin Don is going out, so I got him to drive me back to Grrandma's house.

In the late afternoon, my 3rd aunt came back with her family. She's the one we always supplied us with yummy otahs as she lived in Muar. I love the Otah popiah the best. It's nice.

That very night, I managed to convince Mum to cook that for me. Hehe!

8th Feb
My big aunt and 5th aunt came back. Little Jarius also came back. He was so cute. Remember during his 1st birthday I didn't manage to catch much glimpse of him. He was friendly too. Everyone also can carry him. Haha! But then, he will b fidgetting around. So no photo is taken with him yet. Not even his auntie aka Cousin Elena.

When everyone is back, my 4th auntie went to Langkawi. Guess it's better for her to go for a break. Only when she goes for a break, our ears will be peaceful.

9th Feb
Finally it's the day for me to get back to Singapore. I longed so much. Really can't keep me in places that doesn't have computer. This year, it's lucky that I got my NDSL with me. If not, I might be bored and my headache will come because of boredom.

Upon reaching Singapore, I took an hour rest at home b4 meeting Darling and proceed to Wei Da's house in Tampines. Although I feel tired from the tedious hours of rides but I still look forward in meeting my Darling coz I miss him too much.

10th Feb
Visit Darling's parents and brought the Bak Kwa over. Actually Auntie wanted to cook for us but because Darling was invited by his tutor so we went over. After that, I popped over at Darling house for a while more before going dinner @ Jac's house.

Dinner @ Jac's place was superb. Her maid was a great cook. I ate till I was bloated. Her curry chicken was very nice. Prawns were yummy. Hehe! I'm such a glutton.

5days of CNY just passed by so silently. I don't have enough time to go round visiting. Haiz... Got to skip some of the places and my parents & bro had to go in place of me. Sorry for the absent!

Lastly let us wish everyone Happy Chinese New Year!

P/S: I know I had a big head.
